Amara Udeh ( American, b. 2001, Charlotte, NC) specializes in fashion and portrait photography. As a Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies major with a minor in photography, she focuses on creating editorial, commercial, and campaign shoots. She was included in Elizabeth Stone’s “I Remember” at the Gatewood Gallery in Greensboro, North Carolina. This March, she was awarded the opportunity to attend the Society for Photographic Education Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. Drawing inspiration from renowned photographers like Peter Lindbergh, Arthur Elgort, and Patrick Demarchelier, she brings a fresh perspective to fashion photography through brand knowledge and fashion history, continually exploring new approaches to express her creative medium through captivating images. Udeh's images display her understanding of the cultural importance of fashion as a reflection of society's ideals, problems, and aspirations. She uses her lens to capture the looks of garments and the emotions and tales behind them.
